To officially kick-off Digital Spring starting this month, that brings together artists, creators, djs, designers and more to celebrate digital art in all its forms, Montrealers are invited to attend the official launch party happening at the McCord Museum on March 24th.

Over the course of the evening, After Hours at the McCord immerses you in a hi-tech, interactive environment with stunning visual and animation effects, musical soundscapes provided by Dead Horse Beats, and original virtual reality creations from Centre Phi and NFB. Best of all - take part in a LIGHTSABER DUEL (hell yea!) with the new version of Jedi Action Drawing 3.3 by artist Emmanuel Lagrange Paquet!

While you explore the various exhibitions (including a new one by Nadia Myre, and 3lectromode's “Paper Wearables”fashion show), enjoy a free drink, nibble on some delicious appetizers, and admission even scores you your very own customized robot to take home.

Now on its 3rd edition, this year's Digital Spring (also known as Printemps numérique) runs from March 21 to June 21, offering over 150 stimulating events all across town. From video games and digital arts, to visual effects and virtual reality, to intelligent textiles and more, the 3-month celebration showcases our city's incredible wealth of creativity and is helping Montreal solidify itself as the digital arts capital of the world!

Tickets for After Hours at the McCord are $16 available here, and check out the Digital Spring website for the complete listing of events.
