Unless you are lucky enough to live in a chalet somewhere out in the woods, you probably don't have much opportunity to play with axes. But if you're like me, and are always on the lookout for new bad-ass activities to try in the city, then we've got just the thing for you!
From the same masters of excitement that brought us the extremely popular A/maze escape game, Montreal's Rage Academy is a brand-new 3,700 sq. ft. entertainment center located on 1436 Amherst near Berri-Uqam, where you and your friends can develop your Viking instincts and compete in the oh-so-fun ancient art of axe-throwing.
This one-of-a-kind activity might sound a bit dangerous, but Rage Academy's controlled environment and the small bounce distance of an axe actually makes it very safe and suitable for all ages. Up to 30 people can play at the same time, and each group of 6 people gets its own instructor.
Axe-throwing is one of the oldest hobbies dating as far back as the middle-ages, but Rage Academy is bringing it back in a big way. Hurling axes at high speeds across a room is not only a great way to test your skills of concentration, power and precision, but also channel your inner warrior, or you know, prepare for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.
So if you are looking for a wicked fun activity to do with your boys, want to impress a date with your awesome axing skills, do some team-building with your co-workers, or just want to straight-up blow off some steam, Rage Academy is needless to say, a violently good time. After that, it's time to grab some drinks and celebrate your victories!
