Honestly, nothing on this earth is truly as fun as a music festival.
I mean, I don't feel like I need to tell you guys. As Montrealers, I'm pretty sure we already know that the more music festivals there are in the city, the better! And nothing like an indoor music festival in a massive converted power plant (built in 1859!) to keep you warm and electrified this winter!
This year, the biggest spot in Montreal's Griffintown will be putting on one seriously huge, seriously fun three-day indoor music festival.
Technically, though, this festival won't exactly be going down exclusively in 2017 per se.
Taking place at the legendary New City Gas (950 Ottawa St), already your favourite spot for getting turnt and vibing to awesome artists live - like Miguel and Robin Schulz - the Absolut LUMEN Festival is going down this winter and ends by ushering in the New Year in Montreal!
And since, let's be real, New Years is pretty much the biggest holiday for any and all Montrealers... well, you can pretty much rest assured that New City Gas will be doing this event up right!
How right? I'm very glad you asked.
For the 2017/2018 edition of the Absolut LUMEN festival, New City Gas will be hosting some of the world's biggest names in music (like Armin Van Buuren, Ty Dolla $ign and Borgeous); multiple floors of world-class production (including a super sick laser show and crazy light installations all night!); the LUMEN LOFT dedicated to house music & techno going down on the first floor; and a whole lot more!
I mean, ushering in 2018 with thousands of friends while Borgeous is literally 10 meters from you, spinning his hottest tracks live? Honestly, I cannot think of a better way to begin a brand new year!
New City Gas will be hosting their mind-blasting Absolut LUMEN Festival on December 29-31. 3-day passes already sold out in only 11 minutes today! Single-day tickets start at $20 but will vary depending on the day and will go on sale on Monday, November 6 - so make sure you get your hands on these tickets ASAP before they're gone too. New Years is a LOT closer than you think.
