It’s no secret that Montrealers have a higher-than-average appreciation for food, festivals and spending as much time in the sun as our climate permits. One great reason to grab some friends and hit the road this summer is to do exactly that at Bouffe ton Centro, a huge food festival taking place this August in the heart of Sherbrooke.
Showcasing more than 80 vendors from all across Quebec, Bouffe ton Centro is a culinary celebration of all things delicious, and literally the best excuse to stuff yourself with awesome food, drinks, and fun, all in one place.
Kicking off on August 5, Bouffe ton Centro begins with an evening of delicious nibbles and entertainment, taking over the top level of Stationnement Webster from 6pm 'til midnight. Wave goodbye to your bikini body and indulge in carefully prepared treats and a selection of microbrewery beers, wines and spirits, all while getting your groove on with music from Orange O’Clock, DJ Miss Charlie and Eager Dance.
After some much needed digestion and a little lie-in, join 20,000 festival-goers the next day from 11am on rue Wellington for even more foodie fun, and experience the full force of Bouffe ton Centro’s festivities, including art installations, culinary demonstrations, and for those with stronger stomachs, a skateboard competition. Entrance is completely free, meaning you can blow your whole budget on your appetite.
When you can't take another bite, spend some time checking out Sherbrooke's answer to Mural Festival, Festival Amalgam, a totally free urban art festival happening during Bouffe ton Centro from the 5th-7th of August. Serving up the best of Quebec graffiti right next to the best of Quebec gourmet, Bouffe ton Centro and Festival Amalgram are more than enough reason to pack your bags, make a playlist and head on over to Sherbrooke this summer.
As the biggest festival of its kind in the region, Bouffe ton Centro will hit the spot for everybody, whether you’re a connoisseur of fine foods, or just really love drinking fancy booze outdoors. Just a couple of hours away from Montreal, it’s a mini-break that even your busiest mates can afford.
So hit the road and fulfill your whole summer activity quota in one delicious weekend of eating, drinking and partying at Bouffe ton Centro, August 5-6. The kick-off event has already sold out, so keep your eye on the website for additional ticket release on July 5.
