Taking A Date Skating In The Old Port Is The Most Romantic Thing You Can Do In Montreal
With special theme nights that will make her say 'I do'.
We might not have that charming snowy touch just yet, but what with all the twinkly lights, jingle bells, and European charm, there's no denying Montreal at this time of year is a pretty dreamy place. Now combine all of those things with the very amorous activity of skating together arm in arm, and you have the recipe for quite possibly the most romantic winter date idea out there.
Skating at the Old Port has always been a nostalgic outing for many of us, but this year is going to be extra special thanks to various theme nights happening all winter long from December 8-February 25.
Tuesdays are Romance on Ice, perfect for rekindling the flame or lighting a whole new one, with mulled wine, whimsical tunes, and Cinnamon hearts offered to all couples.
Wednesdays are Warmth on Ice, where you'll have to lace up your skates and put on your most favourite pyjamas for the hottest skating event in town! While the pj's are mandatory, don't worry, there will be everything you need including outdoor fireplaces, hot chocolate, grilled cheese, covers, and even free marshmallows to keep you nice and toasty.
Thursdays are DJ on Ice, with a new DJ spinning beats every week to get you dancing and grooving in your skates. Plus, Sleeman's will be offering 2 for 1 on Blanche de Chambly and Maudite beers for a little extra warmth!
P.S. The events will be closed for the week of December 21st and December 28th.
