Prepare your mouths for one of the greatest food combinations ever created. While perusing through The Vulgar Chef's amazing collection of recipes, we came across the most sumptuous looking cheesecake we've ever seen.
But this isn't your regular old boring cheesecake, this model of perfection has been combined with Oreos and ... (wait for it) red velvet cake.
The Vulgar chef has given the middle finger to graham cracker crusts and instead has found a way to make a solid cheesecake crust made entirely of Red Velvet Oreos and butter. He then covered it with a classic cheesecake filling and topped it off with even more crumbled Oreos.
Here's a list of the ingredients you'll need to make your own Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake:
- 2, 8oz cream cheese packs (room temp)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 16 oz sour cream
- 4 packages red velvet Oreo’s (10 oz packeges)
- 1 stick melted butter
Start with the crust - grab a freezer bag, throw in your Oreos and start crushing
Melt a stick of butter and pour it into the bag, mix everything together and use a pie pan to shape the crust. Bake for 40 minutes at a temperature of 325. Take it out and let it cool for a half hour then stick it in the fridge and voila, you got yourself a red velvet Oreo pie crust.
While the Crust is baking, start working on your filling. Mix the sour cream and the cream cheese together and once it's smooth, slowly start adding sugar. Then add the eggs one at a time and keep stirring. Pour the mixture into the pie crust, crumble Oreos on top and you're done!
