Photo cred - Dilallo Burger
85 years ago, Montreal resto-chain Dilallo Burger opened its doors and started feeding the masses of Montreal their signature (and delicious) burgers. Today, to celebrate the city's long and loving relationship with Dilallo Burgers, the Italian-owned chain is giving back, and offering $1 burgers all day long.
With the purchase of a fry and a drink, you can have one of Dilallo's iconic burgers, which are a bit different than your standard hamburger. Topped with an upside down bun, the burger includes a 1/2 pound beef paddy, fresh veggies, and unlike other burger joints, some spicy Italian pepper and a slice of Italian Capicollo, for an added flavour kick.
What's better than super-cheap burgers? Well, super-cheap poutines, obvi. Dilallo is also offering Montrealers a small-sized poutine, with any topping, for only $3.85. Go for the cheap burgers, stay for the cheap poutine.
Dilallo's 85th anniversary celebrations will only be going on today, across their various Montreal locations. The St. Henri location in front of the Corona Theatre will likely be the most popular spot, and the most convenient for many Montrealers, but you can check out the resto's other locations in Ville Emard and St. Catherine.
