Montreal is home to a hell of a lot of festivals, though none has our mouths more excited than the Festival of Quebec Cheeses hosted right here in the city. To take place in Complexe Desjardins as part of Montreal En Lumiere, this is going to be a cheesy (in the good way) event fit for all who love mowing down on fromage, so everyone with a soul, basically.
For the 9th year in a row, Complexe Desjardins will be the cheesiest place in town from Thursday, February 19th 'til the 21st, with tons of cheese vendors and exhibitors set up to let you taste their dairy-filled wares. Cheese experts will be on-site to answer all of your questions, giving your a gustatory tour through the cheese farms of Quebec.
Cheese by its lonesome is already amazing, though we all know a good beverage goes a long way to enjoying fantastic fromage. Fortunately, the folks who make fromage are well aware wine and beer make cheese better, and will be offering beverage pairings for their many cheeses.
The Festival of Quebec Cheeses in Montreal will be held from Thursday, February 19th to Sunday, February 21st in Complexe Desjardins. To get more info and any updates, head to the official event listing and the Facebook event page here.
