When it is cold, and I mean Odin-awful cold weather warning cold, you need something beyond a hot shower to warm you up. You need pure and unadulterated comfort, in the form of food, which is the most effective, obviously. On mornings like today, you basically need a poutine, which normally would be a breakfast faux pas, but not if you make the Poutine Waffle by The Vulgar Chef.

Let's be real here folks, when it's -36 degrees outside, you really don't know if you're going to make it past the bus stop, so you better make your final meal truly epic. Throw caution to the frigid winds, bust out your waffle iron, a bag of frozen french fries, and get started.

Assembling the Waffle Poutine is beyond easy. Simply microwave your frozen frenchies 'til they're kinda soggy, chop 'em to about half inch size, throw 'em in the waffle iron, and cook for about 15 minutes. Top with cheese curds and gravy (and maybe an egg for more of a breakfast effect) and you are good to go on eating the most comforting morning meal made by man.
