You cannot say no to free.

Few things embody winter-fun more than ice skating with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Seriously, it may be incredibly cliche and on the front-cover of Loki only knows how many children's books about winter, but the combo of ice skating + hot chocolate is nevertheless fun and heartwarming. Normally you have to pay for that kind of winter-magic, but next week, the Old Port of Montreal is giving you a day of skating and warming elixirs for free.

Put on in association with Keurig, the Old Port skating rink will be entirely free on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5pm to 9pm. The Keurig food truck will also be on-site and doling out cups of free coffee and hot chocolate to keep you warm, with tunes provided by DJ Eloize. Free skating, coffee, hot chocolate, and music? Sounds like a veritable winter wonderland to us.

There's only one very minor hurdle you have to overcome to get in on this free-filled event, which only involves you just printing out tickets prior to the date. Head to the eventbrite ticket page here, print out tickets, and present them to the skating rink box office on the eve of Dec. 3rd to get in for free. Simple enough, but make sure you don't forget.

Free Skating & Coffee/Hot Choclolate Day at the Old Port skating rink will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5pm to 9pm. Print out your entry-ticket here. Head to the official Facebook event for more details.
