Free Things To Do At Montreal's Cabane À Sucre Festival This Month

Many of you are eagerly preparing for cabane à sucre season, getting your flannels out of storage and trying to convince that one friend who has a car to drive you out to some forest in the middle of Quebec. While that's always a good time, you don't have to travel so far to get a taste of 'les régions.'
This month, Montreal's only urban cabane à sucre party is taking over Wellington Street in Verdun for a whole weekend! Promenade Wellington is hosting its 9th edition of La Cabane Panache et Bois Rond. From March 21st to March 24th, head on down to Verdun and experience Montreal's first festival of the spring season!
Wellington Street will be occupied by four days of music, local food, drinks, square dancing, lumberjack competitions, and of course, soooo much maple syrup. Last year's edition hosted 100,000 people over four days, making La Cabane Panache et Bois Rond one of the biggest seasonal festivals in Montreal.
