This year's Pride Week is taking place in Montreal on August 8 - 14, and (like every year before) it promises to be an incredibly awesome event. They've got educational panels, community days, ways to get involved, and some seriously fun nights planned ahead, making for one seriously awesome Pride Week.
Of course, they've also got a whole bunch of events to check out that are totally free, which is like the cherry on top of one already delicious sundae. Don't know where to start your fun and free adventure through Montreal's Pride Week? No worries. I've got your back.
1. Check out the fantastic Pride Parade, taking place on August 14.
3. Or, if Zumba's the name of your game, check out free Pride Zumba event, August 13.
4. On August 11, from 9 - 2, check out the free Kids Day activities taking place in Place Emilie-Gamelin, like face painting, shows, and more.
5. Get involved during Pride's Community Day on August 12, and take a stroll through the village to discover organizations, businesses, community groups, and more, run by or catering to the LGBTQ community.
6. On August 13, check out Pride's Health Avenue event, giving tips and information for living a healthier life.
9. On August 14, check out the Pride Ride in Lachine, as cyclists bike to raise money for HIV/AIDS.
10. Feel like partying your day away? On August 14, check out the Mega T-Dance event at Place Emilie-Gamelin.
15. Then, on the 11th, check out the Drag Superstars show, starring contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race.
17. Or check out La Course Capotée, an obstacle race with businesses and community organizations, taking place that same day.
