If Sunday night's win wasn't awesome enough as it is, the Habs managed to do more than just eliminate the Sens from the playoffs. they also knocked them off their "no-shutout" pedestal. Up until the Habs 2-0 win, the Ottawa Senators were enjoying an 86 game streak where no team in the NHL could shut them out. The Canadiens sure picked their moment to end the streak because they were barely holding onto a 1-0 lead for most of the game and if the senators had decided to make it 87 games in a row, there would a much gloomier vibe around the city today.
That's 82 games where they scored at least once per game, plus the 4 playoff games where they scored against us.
