We already know that there is no shortage of amazing restaurants here in Montreal.

Lucky for us, MTLàTABLE is back this year for a 6th time to bring us "Restaurant Week 2017" and here is everything you need to know.

This year, there will be a grand total of 175 restaurants participating.

Restaurants will be offering table d’hôte dinner menus at jaw-dropping prices ($21, $31 or $41 depending on the restaurant).

And for all you brunch lovers, some spots will even be offering a $15 brunch menu.

The 6th edition will be going on from November 2nd until November 16th. 

There will also be some great special events presented during the week that you should definitely check out.

  • Here's a short list of what's open and what's closed on Labour Day in Montreal.
  • If you're heading out, make sure to call ahead to your destination to inquire about reduced hours.

Yes, it's a long weekend! Three uninterrupted days to relax, have fun, and not think for two seconds about things like school or work, or other responsibilities until Tuesday morning. Not to be too depressing but it will be six weeks before we get another official long weekend. 

But let's focus on the positive! This is usually one of the summer weekends that people are trying to pack in their last days of camping or chalet time. But if you're planning to stay in the city it's good to know what's open and what's closed so you can plan out your Labour Day weekend.

A video shared with MTLBlog by Instagram user @21blocks this afternoon shows a massive car fire two blocks from Lionel-Groulx metro station at the Petro-Canada gas station in the Montreal neighbourhood of St-Henri.

Details of the fire are few, but it's clear several police vehicles were on scene.
