Montreal is quickly filling up the calendar year (not that we're complaining) with more and more weeks entirely devoted to our favourite and sundry food and beverage items, including Invasion Cocktail - Montreal's official cocktail week.
From May 5-11, more than 20 of the city's finest bars will be creating some 150 unique and wondrous cocktails made especially for Invasion Cocktail's Cocktail Week, as well as play host to various seminars and themed events dedicated to the art of mixology.
But what's a great drink without a great party? Invasion Cocktail also hosts amazing events every night of the week to help you celebrate the cocktail universe to the fullest. Not to be missed is the opening night at L'Auberge St-Gabriel, a cocktail competition at Rosewood bar with Moskovskaya Vodka, bubbles night at La Champagnerie with J.P. Chenet sparking wine, a boozy brunch, a Bacardi product launch at Midway Tavern, Huis Clos' "Dimanches Mélangés", and 2 special events happening at L'Assommoir and 132 Bar Vintage.
As if you really need any more incentive to drink delicious cocktails for a whole week, Invasion Cocktail offers a $20 passport that lets you sample each bar's featured cocktails for only $5 during the entire event. Even better, buy your passport before April 15 using the code MARTINI on the website, and you'll get 2 for 1.
To get you in the spirit, here are a few examples of what will be on offer during Invasion Cocktail 2015. (All participating bars listed below)
