Early this morning, six Greenpeace activists fitted Mount Royals iconic cross with two banners.

The cross now reads: "Defend the forest" & "Justice?"

Greenpeace's banners are a direct reference to pulp and paper manufacturer Resolute Forest Products, whose headquarters are in Montreal. The banners are meant to raise awareness regarding Resolute's actions in the Boreal forest.

Nicolas Mainville, Greenpeace's Quebec director, told CBC the organization's goal is "to re-establish the balance between the logging practices and the protection of our public forests."

Mainville also elaborated the banners are meant to be seen as "scales of justice."

Is this okay?
