"Harry Potter And The Cursed Child" Wants To Hire You To Play A Wizard In Show's Canadian Premier

If you are a Harry Potter lover and have ever wanted to act or sing, this is your sign from the universe. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the follow-up play to the book series, written by J.K. Rowling is officially coming to Toronto.

And you can now audition to be in the show!

The production is currently auditioning union and non-union actors, so if you've never done anything like this before, don't worry! You still have a shot, plus, they are still looking to cast pretty much every role!

One of the most notable (and best) things about this casting call is the clear dedication to ethno-cultural casting. For every character, they are looking to cast "any race," so if you've always dreamt of playing Hermione but don't look anything like Emma Watson, neither did Michelle Gayle, and here she is below, rocking it.

The story of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows Harry and the gang into their adulthood, right where the last book finishes off. Their kids are off to Hogwarts and everything seems to be following the status quo... until Harry's son is sorted into Slytherin.

Major roles currently up for grabs include:

  • HARRY POTTER – MALE – AGE RANGE 37-40
  • GINNY POTTER – FEMALE – AGE RANGE 37-40
  • HERMIONE GRANGER – FEMALE – AGE RANGE 37-40
  • RON WEASLEY – MALE – AGE RANGE 37-40
  • DRACO MALFOY – MALE – AGE RANGE 37-40
  • ALBUS POTTER – MALE – 18+ TO PLAY 14/15
  • SCORPIUS MALFOY – MALE – 18+ TO PLAY 14/15

Minor roles include the Dursleys, various Hogwarts professors, and other students.

They also need a Dumbledore, Moaning Myrtle, Bane the Centaur, Hagrid, and Professor McGonagall.

The deadline for submissions is June 13th, 2019 - so if you're considering it, don't wait! Just go for it!

All you need to do is e-mail a resume, headshot (or recent picture of yourself that is well-lit) and your contact information. You can mention your agent if you have one, and also be sure you mention that you saw the notice on eBoss Canada.

The e-mail you need to send the above information to is HPotterTO@gmail.com and you need to use the subject line format: HARRY POTTER TORONTO AUDITIONS – <ROLE> – <YOUR NAME>.
