10 new cases have been reported since including one fatal case.

The Public Health Agency of Canada had initially released some safety tips, but now they are asking the public to consume other types of lettuce until more is known about the outbreak.

So far 40 people have been infected and 16 had to be hospitalized.

Here are the symptoms you should be looking out for: Nausea, vomiting, headache, mild fever, severe stomach cramps, and (hope you aren't eating right now) watery or bloody diarrhea.

Pregnant women, young children and older adults have the highest risk of developing deadly complications.
