Here's Everything You'll Be Able To Eat And Drink This Year At Montreal's Mondial De La Bière

There's nothing quite like the feeling of summer. A cold drink in your hand, the cool breeze in your hair and of course, the warm sun on your cheeks. That's what summer is all about so if you're looking for something to do this June that combines the love of beer and of course, food, then look no further.

The biggest international beer festival in North America is back in Montreal! From June 14-18 at Palais des congress, Montreal's Mondial De La Bière will be showcasing over 500 different beers from Quebec and around the world, amongst these, 250 new beers that have never been offered at the festival before. You will also find ciders, meads, and other alcoholic beverages.

Not only will the festival school you on your beer knowledge by offering a unique and friendly tasting experience, you will also have the opportunity to chow down on a wide variety of tasty treats and meats.

Now if you know beer, you probably already know that it can be a great match with food because of the complexity of its flavors. If you don’t know beer, let’s make matters simple by saying that the bitterness of beer goes especially well with salty foods because, science. And you know what? Try it with chocolate also, you might be surprised!

This festival is for the curious and connoisseurs alike! To give you a taste of what to expect, we’ve mapped out some of the beer and food you’d be denying your palate if you miss out on this amazing experience.

Brasseur de Montreal will be serving up a long list of cold brews including Goudy, Hefeweizwen and Docker IPA. Dieu Du Ciel will also be on premise with Blanche du Paradis, Aphrodisiaque and Sentinelle to name a few.

You can’t go wrong pairing up the cold taste of beer with snacks by Gamins Gourmands, who will be offering sweet and salty popcorn. Pretzels et Cie will also satisfy your salt craving with a variety of delicious pretzels.

Thanks to Overhop, explore the taste of Brazilian beers such as One Loveand or Dark Hop. McClellands will be there to give you a taste of German beer with Erdinger Weissbier and Erdinger Alkoholfrei. Don’t forget to go discover the amazing beers of 3 Floyds as well as the Norwegian breweries.

At this point in the evening, you might be seeking some food with a little more substance, per say. This is your chance to try Kévy’s Bison meat, wild boar or if you're feeling adventurous, wolverine meat. You can also opt for deer and wild boar sausages by Verger des Cerfs.
