How My Life Has Changed Since I've Stopped Giving A Fvck

I did it and you should too.

Work, relationships, family, responsibilities, future... all these things pile up on our shoulders and make every day living exceptionally stressful. The truth is - problems don't exist. They're only real in our heads. If we stop thinking about them, boom! They disappear. It's really that easy.

I often get asked if negative comments underneath my posts get to me. My answer is always - no, they don't. Things can only get to me if I let them get to me. Think about it, there is no reason to live in stress at all. People consciously let stress affect them. Being miserable is a choice we make. Once I realized that problems only exist in my head, life became a total bliss. So here's how my life has changed once I've stopped giving a fuck.

1. No more anxiety

Anxiety primarily comes from being worried about the future. Am I going to be successful at what I'm doing? Did I choose the right path? Am I going to be proud of my current self in the future? All these questions kept me up at night for a really long time... until the day I've decided to turn my thoughts off and, you guessed it, not give a fuck.

2. No more settling down

My family and friends either voluntarily or not put tremendous pressure on me to start a family and settle down for good. I've fallen victim of this circumstance in the past and have built useless relationships where there shouldn't have been any at all. Now that I no longer give a shit about this, I realize that settling down has to always be for the right reasons. Never settle unless you're truly madly deeply in love with that person.

3. No more love drama

Not that long ago, I'd go completely nuts if my crush wouldn't text me back or seem uninterested in me. I'd just sit there and break my head analyzing every single thing I've said or did to figure out what could have possibly gone wrong. Why isn't he in love with me? This useless headache has ceased to exist ever since I realized that these problems are all in my head.

4. No more unnecessary friendships

I used to hold on to useless and, sometimes, even toxic friendships. Why? Well, because I was too afraid to say "No!" and not go out when I didn't feel like going out for example. I can totally stay in and binge watch Netflix today without giving a single fuck.

5. No more caring about what other people might think

I used to really be concerned with other people's opinions about me and my lifestyle choices. The truth is, what other people think about you is really none of your business. In addition, their opinions are actually a reflection of themselves. Good people tend to see good things and bad people tend to see bad things around them. We're free to do whatever the fuck we want, basically. The last thing you should do is worry about what someone else might think of you.

6. No more trying to fit it

Trying to fit in is our generation's primary characteristic. Don't let other people influence your life choices! Who says you need to live a certain way or do certain things in order to be part of what's acceptable? A good example would be your choice of career. You want to be a DJ? Then be a fucking DJ and don't let anyone tell you it's not a real job.

7. No more uncertainties

I don't beat around the bush anymore trying to hide my real feelings or opinions. If I like someone, I tell them. If I don't like someone, I avoid them. Life should be simple. Why complicate things and be around people we don't like? Be honest with yourself.

8. No more chasing people

It's nice to take a chill pill and just let life happen. Ever since I've stopped chasing people, wonderful things have been happening in my life. My circle of friends is stronger than ever.

9. No more rules

Being caged by rules is so ridiculous. I remember working at a serious Financial firm's office where my breaks were strict, my dress code was formal and if I ever wanted to take a vacation, I had to warn my supervisor at least three months in advance. They obviously didn't care for their employees' spontaneous ideas or needs. When I changed my approach to life, magical things started to happen and here I am working at MTL blog's office, living the dream <3.

10. Living in the moment

The saddest people in life are those who worry about what other people's tattoos will look like when they grow old or how they will spend their retirement. Life happens today, not tomorrow, not when you buy that dream car or take that vacation with your significant other... Life happens as you're sitting at your desk and reading this article. Stop giving a fuck about the future and start living right now.
