I Tried The SQDC's New CBD-Infused Sparkling Water & Here's What I Thought

This time of quarantine means staying in, binge-watching Netflix, reorganizing every drawer in my house, and treating myself to some of the products available at the SQDC. My latest discovery is the new CBD-infused sparkling lemon-lime water. The new sparkling water with brought to us by Everie, which also happens to be the same company behind the CBD infused tea that I recently tried as well.

As someone who really enjoyed the SQDC's CBD tea, I was excited to see if the CBD sparkling water would be as tasty and effective.

For those who are unsure of the difference: CBD is an active compound found in marijuana that is said to have "no or few" psychoactive effects— unlike its cousin, THC. And, according to the SQDC's website, CBD is said to reduce anxiety, aid in sleep deprivation, and relieve pain.

The drink is offered in a 269 mL can and is said to produce a "relaxing sensation" while "uplifting your mood." I like being both relaxed and in a good mood, so I figured why not try it out?

The drink contains 10 mg of CBD and a small amount of THC — as stated on the website.

I left the drink in the fridge for about 24 hours because I wanted it to be nice and cold when I tried it.

As I poured it into my glass, I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh smell and amount of bubbles that came out of the can.

The first sip I took tasted a lot like lime and I must say, it had a bit of a funky aftertaste.

The more I drank it, the better the aftertaste became. So, it slowly got more enjoyable.

About 30 to 45 minutes after consuming the entire can I began to feel a little relaxed.

But, I must admit thank I think that the SQDC's CBD tea had more of an effect on me. Perhaps it is because tea is just a more calming drink than sparkling water.

All in all, I am not 100% sold on this product. But everyone has different opinions, so it's still worth trying if you're looking for various CBD options.

A single can costs $5.30.

And, for those of you who count calories, there are 60 calories and 11 g of sugar per can.

As of this moment, this product is out of stock on the SQDC's website — so make sure to check the website again in a few days if you're hoping to try it!
