I Went On A Date With A Girl And Here's What Happened

Last week, I walked into a random hair salon in the Plateau to get a treatment. I had some time to kill, so I stroke up a conversation with the woman who brought me coffee. Turned out she was the co-owner of the place. I complimented her on her makeup and that's as far as our conversation went.
I was then asked to come sit down next to a sink for my treatment. Guess who applied the product on my hair? That girl. Let's call her Lauren. It's a tradition - I give fake names to characters inside my story telling posts.
After my treatment, she started to rinse my hair... and then gave me the most intense head massage of my life. Head massages are my favourite thing. I'll take a head massage over a back massage any day. Let's just say, Lauren made me feel exceptionally relaxed. She hit the spot so right. I would sell my soul for that head massage, Lauren. If you're reading this right now - I just thought you should know: Best. Massage. Ever.
After my blow dry, I paid, thanked everyone and carried on with my life. A few days later, I receive a direct message request on my Instagram from Lauren. She asked me what I was doing that night and if I wanted to grab something to eat together. I was SO surprised, to say the least. Instantly, I had a gut feeling tell me that this was going to be an actual date and not just a friendly dinner. I have never been asked out by a girl before, so it got me extremely curious and excited. Still, I kept thinking, "Maybe it's not even for a date?! Perhaps, she just wants to talk about a possible collaboration and a future blog post." After hesitating for some time, I replied, "Yeah, sure."
We agreed to meet at a restaurant in Griffintown at 8 p.m. that same night. I have never been so nervous before a date in my life. I was shaking. It took me a really long time to figure out what to wear too. Finally, I got my shit together, got in my car and was on my way to meet Lauren.
At 7.50 p.m., I receive a text message, "I'm at the bar." My hands are shaking again, great. I find a parking spot right in front of the place, get out of the car and enter the restaurant. Lauren notices me and waves. I sit down next to her and she leans over to give me a kiss on the cheek. I tell myself, "Irina, don't panic, people do that, it doesn't mean anything, she's not hitting on you."
For the next few hours I actually had a blast. We spoke about everything. She had told me her story of how she got into the hair business, about her Russian roots and how she loved cats. I love cats too, so we got along great. The conversation was flowing, we had no awkward silences or pauses.
After a few glasses of wine, I got brave enough to finally ask Lauren, "So, why did you message me today?" She explained how she "liked my vibe" and decided to give it a try. Alright, at this point I realized that it was definitely a date, so I explained that I've never been on a date with a woman before. Lauren smiled and said, "I know, I can tell. That's ok. Well, at least you'll have a fun story to write about, just don't mention my name."
We stayed at the bar until 2 a.m. I have to admit that I questioned my sexuality a couple of times throughout the night. Lauren walked me to my car, gave me a kiss on the cheek and told me: "You should pass by for another treatment, on me!" Forget the treatment girl, I'm definitely passing by for that heavenly head massage.
Will I give this romance a chance to blossom? I'm not quite sure, but I'm glad I had a chance to cross it off my bucket list.
