IKEA Canada Is Having A Huge Early Black Friday Sale

Black Friday is still just over one week away, but already some major companies are competing for the attention of consumers and teasing the major sales to come.

TL;DR Starting Monday November 19th, IKEA will offer sales on mattresses, storage units, and select appliances. Scroll to the bottom of the article for a link to IKEA's Black Friday web page.

Chapters Indigo, Walmart, and Best Buy have all announced, for example, early and pre-Black Friday sales – the perfect opportunity to get some holiday shopping done while avoiding the chaos of sale day.

Now, IKEA has followed suit. The mega-popular furniture retailer is still secretive about its Black Friday weekend deals, but today announced an early sale in three major categories.

IKEA customers who shop between Monday the 19th and Sunday the 25th of November will enjoy 20% off all mattresses, 20% off all Bestå storage units, and $500 off a bundle of three appliances.

Despite the limited scope of the early sale, its enormous generosity is definitely noteworthy!

For example, these are some of the items where customers can save hundreds of dollars:

The Myrbacka queen-size mattress

Via IKEA

Original price: $529
Black Friday price: $423.20

The Bestå TV storage comination

Via IKEA

Original price: $710
Black Friday price: $568

This stove, fridge, and microwave combo

Via IKEA

Original price: $2,567
Black Friday price: $2,067

The catch is that only IKEA Family members are eligible for the appliance bundle. But you can easily sign up for IKEA Family membership here. Customers may also only take advantage of the package in store.

Remember that Black Friday prices will only be posted on the IKEA Canada website on November 19th.

IKEA Canada also promises massive sales on Black Friday weekend, November 23rd–25th, but those haven't yet been released.

Check out the IKEA Black Friday website to view the early Black Friday deals and more information.

  • If you're heading out, make sure to call ahead to your destination to inquire about reduced hours.

Yes, it's a long weekend! Three uninterrupted days to relax, have fun, and not think for two seconds about things like school or work, or other responsibilities until Tuesday morning. Not to be too depressing but it will be six weeks before we get another official long weekend.

But let's focus on the positive! This is usually one of the summer weekends that people are trying to pack in their last days of camping or chalet time. But if you're planning to stay in the city it's good to know what's open and what's closed so you can plan out your Labour Day weekend.
