It's Official, Montreal WILL Be Transformed Into A 1,000 Foot “Slip-N-Slide” This Summer

Remember those sun-soaked days when you were a kid, when having fun on a hot summer day was as simple as turning on the hose in the backyard? Throw in a slip 'n slide and some freezies, and you had yourself a party? Well maybe you still get down like that, and if so you are doing something right, but let's be honest, it takes a bit more than that to get us excited these days. Unless of course it's the biggest slip 'n slide you've ever seen in your life and instead of some little patch of grass, it's the length of a city street.

Like many of you, we have been anxiously awaiting final confirmation about Slide The City Montreal and we now officially have all the details you need to get pumped for what is guaranteed to be a splashing good time. Already a massive success in numerous cities across North America, Montrealers will finally have the chance to experience this unique and memorable event for themselves right here in the city.

Slide The City is set to take over the Big O on Saturday August 15, 2015, sliding it's way from Parc Maisonneuve down to the Olympic Park for some 1,000 ft of pure slip 'n slide fun. There will be 3 different sliding packages to choose from, as well as plenty of food, drink and music on site for even more fun in the sun.

The packages are as follows:

Single Slider – 1 slide anytime during your chosen session, a bag and a mouthguard ($14 Early Registration – $19 Regular Registration – $24 Day-of Registration)

Triple Slider – 3 slides anytime during your chosen session, a tube, a bag and a mouthguard ($29 Early Registration – $34 Regular Registration – $40 Day-of Registration)

Super Slider – Unlimited slides anytime during your chosen session, a tube, a bag, a mouthguard and a hat. ($44 Early Registration – $49 Regular Registration – $55 Day-of Registration)

You've definitely seen pictures of these events in your newsfeed at some point or another, and like me, you were probably insanely jealous that it wasn't taking place in Montreal. Well that's all about to change because we're getting our very own Slide The City event on Saturday, August 15th.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this event, here's the only thing you need to know: It's a thousand foot slip-n-slide!

Imagine how epic a 1000 feet of slip-and-slide taking over the streets of Montreal would be, transforming the city into a water party like no other. Montreal may get the chance, thanks Slide the City, a travelling North American water slide attraction that transforms cities into a pop-up water park, and if we can trust their official website, Slide the City is coming to Montreal.

We can't say for sure when Slide the City will be coming to Montreal, as their event listing currently lists the date as TBD. Don't worry though, "TBD" is tacked on to a bunch of different event listing for cities across Canada and the US, so we may have to wait a while, but at least Slide The City definitely has Montreal in mind.
