On September 8, the Garden of Lights will be open to visitors from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm until October 31.
But we recommend you only go after it gets dark out because although the lanterns are impressive during the day, there's nothing quite liker it at night once the lanterns are lit up.
Plus this year's gardens includes a NEW lighted path through the chinese garden the Japanese Garden and the First Nations Garden.
"The dragon, symbolizing China, will be the star of the 25th edition of the lantern festival in the Chinese Garden. It will be accompanied by its nine offspring, protecting the newly restored pavilions. And around them will be flying red-crowned cranes, symbolizing the longevity of the friendship between Montréal and Shanghai."
