It's Official, Montreal's Mount Royal Has Banned Pit Bulls

Well, friends, some heartbreaking news for pit bull owners in Montreal.

Montreal's Town Of Mount Royal has decided to officially ban Pit Bulls in its borough. According to TMR's website, the borough has banned American Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and other breeds commonly known as pit bulls.

TMR will no longer be issuing licenses for pit bulls. If you already own a pit bull, and got a license for your dog before July 20, 2016, then they will not require you to get rid of your dog; they'll just need to wear a muzzle outside, and follow a few other regulations as well.

The ban came into effect on July 20, 2016, as stated by this post on TMR's website.
