It's Official, Poutine BeaverTails Will Be Available Across Canada Next Month
We can all agree that you're not truly a Canadian until you've had a BeaverTail. It doesn't matter which flavour is your favourite, or if you enjoy them in the winter or summer, but you really can't live your life to the fullest until you've had the ultimate pastry treat native to Canada.
Yes, new flavours have arrived in the restaurants and food trucks over the years, but never at this scale. It all began on April Fool's Day when BeaverTails announced a new "product" composed of 8 stacked pastries.
It turns out, however, that the "Super Snacker" wasn't a joke at all, but a real item BeaverTails was introducting!
If you thought an announcement like that couldn't be topped, think again. Today information on 8 brand new BeaverTails flavours was released. Most excitingly, perhaps, BeaverTails announced all-new "PouTail" — a pastry topped with poutine.

TL;DR Poutine BeaverTails as well as 7 other new flavours will hit the market in Canada this May 1, 2019. The flavours will become permanent menu items.
Poutine-covered BeaverTails may not sound too appetizing to many. The classic dessert item is meant to be sweet and easy to eat outside a food truck or on-the-go.
So it's unclear how one would go about eating a pastry topped with fries, gravy and cheese curds.
On the other hand, it could be the most Canadian food invention ever.
Regardless, if you're looking for a more savoury, hearty snack, it may just hit the spot.
This actually isn't the first time a poutine BeaverTail has made an appearance. Back in 2015, one innovative BeaverTails employee had the idea to pour poutine over fried dough.
Since then, the PouTail has made occassional appearances in special promotions. But it has never been a feature of the permanent menu.
In addition to the PouTail, 7 other flavours are also set to hit the market in Canada on May 1, 2019.

These are all of the new BeaverTails flavours that you'll be able to try in just a few weeks:
BroWOWnie: Chocolate hazelnut spread, brownie pieces, and white chocolate chips.
Apple Pie: A revamp of the classic Apple Cinnamon menu item.
S'more: Chocolate hazelnut spread, graham cracker, and torched marshmallows.
Hansel + Pretzel: Chocolate hazelnut spread with pretzels.
Pecan Pie: Maple-flavoured spread and pecans.
Lemon MMMeringue: Lemon meringue pie.
Strawberry Cheesecake: Cream cheese icing and strawberry jam.
PouTail: BeaverTails pastry topped with the signature poutine.
As of now, we have no idea how these BeaverTail flavours will turn out or taste. All we can guarantee is that thousands of Canadians are eager to get their hands on these new treats.
