It's Official: The Habs Are Now Worth More Than The Leafs

Yup, that seems about right

Here's something we already knew, The Montreal Canadiens are worth more than the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Unfortunately sentimental value doesn't count, so for far too long Toronto's team was actually worth more than our beloved Habs (But not in our hearts).

Luckily, the economic side of things have caught up to our emotions because the Habs are officially worth more than The Maple leafs.

According to Forbes the average team in the NHL is worth about $500 million. The most valuable team used to be the leafs, but they dropped from 1st place to 3rd leaving the New York Rangers in top spot at $1.2 billion followed closely by The Montreal Canadiens at $1.18 billion.
