More than 10,000 people have signed a petition supporting a basic income guarantee and the government listened.

There are two basic income pilot projects already on the way in P.E.I, and in Ontario. The projects are set to begin in Spring 2017. The government of Quebec has also declared it’s intent launch it's own basic income project.

Those participating would receive $1,320 per month, and those with disabilities will get and extra $500.

Thanks to Basic Income, Canadians will be free to manage finances according to their own family’s unique situation. Poverty will be less prevalent, which will help reduce, crime and improve health. And it will also reduces excessive inequalities among Canadians
