Lettuce Brand Has Been Recalled In Canada Due To E.Coli Contamination

As you all know, romaine lettuce has been recalled off shelves across North-America since mid-November; due to an outbreak of E. coli that has produced dozens of cases of illness in the United States and Canada. No specific brand was recalled, the government has simply warned people to avoid all romaine lettuce.
Now, we have another type of lettuce that you can add to that list of dangerous leafy greens. According to a report by CBC the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says certain red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce produced by Adam Bros. Farming Inc. of Santa Maria California have been recalled.
TL;DR The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) annouced certain red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce produced by Adam Bros. Farming Inc. of Santa Maria California have been recalled accross Canada and the United States.
Honestly, at this point, I would just avoid eating leafy greens all together. Seems like too much of a gamble. CFIA confirms these products have been imported and sold across Canada to several Canadian provinces.
CFIA says that these types of lettuce will not show signs of being spoilt or "bad" but if contaminated can cause some pretty unpleasant symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.
From the #1059newsroom: A #HealthCanada food #recall warning has been issued for certain cauliflower, red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce produced by Adam Bros Farming Inc. due to #Ecoli. Details: https://t.co/5jCo7PLdRHpic.twitter.com/ExjK3Z7TmU
The recall also includes cauliflower from the same farm which has also been sold to vendors and distributors across Canada. At least cauliflower can be cooked at high heat which would effectively get rid of most bacteria.
That said, there have been no cases reported yet of actual illness associated to the consumption of these products, yet.

However, it seems like in the wake of the mass romaine lettuce recall, some precautionary measures are being taken by the United States Food and Drug Administration and Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
