• Welcome to exam season, when student life is studying and the library is your new home.
  • If you've got exams in Montreal right now, we feel your struggle.
  • So here are 20 Montreal student life memes to help you make it through 💕

Ah, exams. One of the many things I cherish as being far, far in my distant past. Montreal student life is amazing for so many reasons, but standardized testing is not one of them.

And while I can't really help you through the woes and throes of midterm season, I can provide a momentary solace, a few more scrolls of procrastination, before you finally fucking do the thing you should be doing right now.

Don't feel bad.

Clearly, all the sad souls who took the time to make the memes below understand exactly what you're going through — and so do I.

I've been there, watching another episode of Rookie Blue in the library, the prof's PowerPoint slides open on half the screen as if I could watch a TV show and absorb theories of anthropology at the same time.

Apparently, this is just the reality of higher education in Canada right now... or was it just me and my friends who did this?

Anyway, here are the memes. They made me laugh and I hope they make you laugh, too.

Midterm season is real

If this is your first one... welcome. I'm sorry. You'll be fine... mostly.

I mean you, you should be okay...

Except if you go to McGill apparently, cause... clearly, it's getting to them over there.

Though, obviously, no one is safe.

Sorry Concordians, here is your schedule for the day :)

And you know, of course, that list flows gently down to the floor and continues until at least 10 p.m. (if you love yourself and the act of sleep) but likely later (because we know you don't).

But midterms and exams don't just fuck with your sleep schedule, they fuck the whole damn schedule.

And for those of us who don't live on or beside campus, it's a whoooooooole lot of fuckery for a brief yet miserable moment.

The non-stop fun of learning a language

Here in Quebec, there is the added fun of learning a new language for all those newcomers. And not just any language, but the beautiful, the defiant, the oh-so-diplomatic language we call le français.

But, of course, at the end of the day, it's not really about how good you are at French, it's the fact that you're trying, and enriching your own life, and brain, en même temps.

Math is less forgiving...

As far as I can tell, math is only tears.

And forget having a life

Someone, please help this man:

Sorry to those who #CantRelate because you don't need a job in order to pay rent... I'm looking at you Mr. Living At Home.

Or you, Mr. Living in Laval...

But also... you're in Laval... so...

Soon it will all be over

And then you get to go through this feeling ^^^

After that happens... well then, we only have our one last weapon to fight back...

Translation: Me, answering a question from the Ministère de l'Education, du loisir et du Sport / the Ministère / The Prof who taught us nothing the whole year

Yes, you can let it all out when you get to fill out your Mid-Course Evaluations.

Or you could just go to RateMyProfessors.com.

You can't really blame your profs

They are part of a bigger system that needs to be addressed.

How we gunna just let university ruin our lives like this?

(Just kidding, higher education is a privilege that few in the world get access to so freely and you should really make the most of it, in whatever way you can.)

At least you don't have to go it alone

Even if sometimes it would be better if you did...

Though if you are having feelings of depression, you should really reach out. School is hard, man, and it is not worth your mental health.

The library is your home now

You have become one with the library. You eat, sleep and shit there. We all know it. Please stop.

Like Trump said. Some of us have Rookie Blue to watch. Go home and sleep in a bed.

Please remember: sleep is very important

If you don't believe me, go watch the Netflix series The Mind, Explained, narrated by Emma Stone. Fabulous docu-series, perfect for procrastinating, and it will explain to you why it's SO. IMPORTANT. TO. SLEEP.

But I mean... real sleep, okay?

Cause that napping business might get you in trouble.

Just whatever you do, don't forget to set your alarm.

Good luck!
