So many men have a weird Goldilocks-syndrome with their genitalia, thinking their d is either too small, too big, but rarely just right. Ladies may say that size doesn't matter (it's the way you use it, right? RIGHT!?) but a new paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has delved into how and why male private parts have grown like they have, and what is a women's ideal size, reports Nature.

While the study's purpose was to analyze how female preferences in sexual partners are shaped by the interaction of a male's body type and genitalia, the real interesting bit is the "perfect" size and length noted by women in the study.

During the study, women were asked to look at a bunch of naked dudes with their junk hanging out, and then had to rank them according to attractiveness based on physical build and penile size. What was found was that size does matter, as on average, men who were taller with larger "junks" were ranked as more sexually appealing.

There was a breaking point, however, as a "so big it's kinda scary" effect was seen. Sexy-ratings dropped when their "organ" exceeded a certain length, as a specific range of measurement was found as the "just right" size.

The ideal measurement, according to this study, was a dick 12.8–14.2 cm's in length when not erect/flaccid, which is about 5 inches for any dudes who don't have a metric ruler on their junk right now. Again, this isn't considering fully erect ones, so if you're a grower, you may be totally fine, but as with all studies, take these findings with a grain of salt, especially if you're a little short on those centimeters.
