Here's how it works: In order to win one of the big McDonald's Monopoly prizes you need to find 3 matching properties. Only as you probably already suspected, 2 of the pieces from every trio are very common, while the 3rd is extremely rare. 

That means if you find one of the 10 rare pieces, it's only a matter of time before you find the other two.
