Montreal is one of the best cities in the world for game development. According to the Game Job Hunter, Montreal is the #6 top video game development city.

Leading developers like Eidos and Ubisoft have a presence in Montreal, alongside the other 65 developers we have. Former EA Montreal general manager Alain Tascan once said this city, with its history of digital media (especially with animation) and the close proximity to four big universities, has "the competitive advantage to become the Hollywood of gaming."

We are all very proud gamers. It's an honour to live among such great people. To show you our deepest appreciation, we decided to make a list with some of the games we enjoyed and that were developed in Montreal. Montrealers, feel free to add more games in the comments below.

Assassin's Creed Series

Developer: Ubisoft Montreal

Ubisoft's number one game, the Assassin's Creed series is on top of the list of people's favourite games. It's more than a game, it's an international fever. The plot is very rich in details, which makes the series so exciting. This is the kind of game you cannot stop playing. Under the leadership of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the Assassin Order was rebuilt, with new techniques created and rules and restrictions undone. Using knowledge gained from an "Apple of Eden" to do so, the Levantine Assassins were eventually spread to different locations around the globe – an effort to make the Assassin Order a more global organization – with the Levantine Assassins becoming the forebearer to many other Assassin branches in the process. Primarily fighting their sworn enemies, the Knights Templar, during the Crusades, the Levantine Assassins were a more public organization than the other Assassin branches. The story evolves as the gamer plays the sequel.
