Your 20's are the prime years in your life. You will, unfortunately, never be as free, fun, crazy and wild as you are in your 20's. Priorities will fall into place, potential children will ruin your life #sorrynotsorry, and you won't be able to take that five hour "nap" you are desperately craving. Montreal, being the dynamic metropolis that it is, makes your 20's even more exciting. Here are 20 things to do in Montreal while you're in your 20's:

1. Attend All Of The Summer Music Festivals

Music festivals, like Osheaga and Ile Soniq, are so much fun. They are crowded, loud and dirty. That sounds awful, right? Wrong. It is amazing. Especially when you are in your 20's, drunk, dancing and singing with your crew to some of the best music, all day and night. It will be the best weekend ever, full of unforgettable memories.

2. Eat Two Dollar Chow Mein on Saint-Laurent

After a fun and drunken night of partying on Saint-Laurent, what better way to end the night then eating two dollar chow mein, with extra peanut butter sauce. It really is the best drunk food ever!

3. Take Part in a 5k Run

Montreal hosts a variety of 5k runs every summer. What better way to get a workout and have fun all at the same time. Sign up and take part in one of Montreal's 5k runs. It will be so amazing you might just wish it was longer (maybe...).

4. Take Courses at either McGill or Concordia

This might sound like the worst idea ever. However, it will pay off in the future. Everyone in their 20's should take classes at one of Montreal's Universities. You will not only be learning from some of the best professors and professionals in the business, but you'll also be enrolling in some kick-ass interesting courses that will hopefully lead to a successful job in the long-run (it's totally a win-win).

5. Go On A Lot Of 'Dates'

Dating is not always easy. But your 20's are the perfect time to make it happen. I get it, there are some crazy, socially awkward, creepy people out there. But don't make them hold you back! Let yourself meet different people, and get a taste of what is out there. There are so many different things you can do in Montreal on a first, second or third date. Have fun with it. Who knows, you might find your 'soulmate'?

6. Pull An All Nighter With Friends And Watch The Sunrise From The Old Port

Nothing is more peaceful and beautiful than watching the sunrise. It is like a fresh-new start to a brand new day. Imagine experiencing that, with your best friends. Absolutely magical. No, but seriously, everyone should at least once, maybe twice, pull an all nighter partying with their friends, then go to the old port in Montreal and watch the sunrise.

7. Blow All Your Money Shopping Downtown

Shopping is a guilty pleasure, for both men and women. Living in Montreal makes it even harder to resist blowing your money on shopping since there are so many stores to choose from! But you shouldn't hold back on blowing all your money shopping in your 20's. After all, you are probably living pay check to pay check, so you mid as well look good doing it....

8. Spend the Day at LaRonde

LaRonde was epic when you were a child. But imagine it in your 20's. You can ride all the crazy roller coasters and do whatever you want, without needing to ask or hold on to your parents hand for the fear of getting lost in the crowd. Your 20's will probably be the last time you can go to LaRonde alone, without having to worry about those annoying things called 'responsibilities' #overit

9. Chill at Tam Tams on a Sunday

This is self-explanatory. It's Sunday, get your favorite people, buy some drinks and go chill at Tam Tams on Mont Royal. Bye.

10. Volunteer with Dans la Rue

Volunteering in the community is always a good idea. Not only are you helping people in need, but you are gaining so many browny points and whole lot of good karma. Dans La Rue is just one example of an amazing organization that you can join by helping the homeless in Montreal. So get out there and make a difference before it's too late.

11. Ride the Mechanical Bull at Chez Serge

If you've never been to Chez Serge then you will probably have no idea what I am talking about. Let's change that. Chez Serge, located on Saint-Laurent blvd, is a small yet fun bar for everyone and anyone. But the best thing about Chez Serge is the mechanical bull. Everyone needs to try riding and conquering the bull at Chez Serge at least once in their twenties. Once you've done it, you'll understand why!

12. Go to a Strip Club

We all listen to Drake and the squad talk about the wonders of being in a strip club. You can drink alcohol, meet some new 'friends', get a dance, fall in 'love'. K, maybe not the latter, but who knows. Regardless, Montreal has a bunch of strip clubs that both men and women can enjoy! So why not go to a strip club, instead of a bar or club, and party it out with your friends. I can guarantee, nobody will be judging your outfit #nakedandafraid

13. Feast at the Food Trucks

Food trucks have literally changed dinning in Montreal. They are so easy, convenient and delicious that you can literally binge eat at every food truck in the city, all day. You can be sure to find a food truck somewhere in your location. They might not be the most healthy choice, but you're still in your 20's, so enjoy that extra poutine.

14. Go to the Botanical Gardens/Biodome

The Botanical Gardens and the Biodome are both the perfect escape from reality. The gardens are breathtaking with their creative designs and themes that bring you to a whole other world. You feel like you are in one of Jane Austen's novels, or in a completely different country. It's like a cheap and affordable way to travel, for a couple hours. If that's not enough, you can escape to space at the Biodome and learn all about the universe.

15. Go to an After-Hours

Like we all know, Montrealer's love to party. Nightlife in Montreal is amazing, but it usually ends by 3am. Well, not for everyone. If you love to party (which we all do) and don't want your night to end, go to an after hours. Montreal has two amazing after hours, Stereo and Circus, that keep the party going until the morning, sometimes afternoon.

16. Get Black-out Wasted

Listen, this might not be the best advice someone has given you, but I can guarantee that it will be the most fun you'll have (in the moment). Perhaps the next day will be a nightmare and you will just want to die in bed, with a bottle or ten of water and some Advil. Regardless, you need to get black-out wasted at one of the many bars, pubs, clubs, strip clubs, house parties, that Montreal has to offer. You'll only have the chance to do it, willingly, once.

17. Eat Saint Viateur Bagels at 3am

Saint-Viateur bagels are a classic staple of Montreal culture. They are homemade, fresh and come right out of a fire-burning oven. What more can you ask for? Open 24 hours, you can get your cravings fulfilled by stopping by Saint-Viateur bagels at any time, and ordering a dozen, or three, of bagels.

18. Go Camping

Camping really isn't for everyone. However, you need to experience it. So why not pack your bags, some food and your bestest friends, and go camping for the weekend. It might be uncomfortable, itchy and gross, but it is an adventure you will never forget. Here are a few camping sites close to Montreal that you can enjoy: Camping Alouette, South KOA, Camping L'Escale Pointe Calumet and Camping Canne De Bois

19. Party at Piknic Electronik

Everyone loves partying in the sun. So why not dance your little hearts out, in the middle of Parc Jean Drapeau, under a Star Wars looking object (I know, it must have some sort of meaning), to the sickest music. You can do all this and more at Piknic Electronic, every Sunday, all summer! Amazing, right?

20. Go to Igloofest

Winter in Montreal is insanely cold. People tend to hibernate when it's -20, mainly because they don't want to get frostbite or die of hypothermia. Perfectly reasonable. However, Montrealer's do come out to play when there is amazing music and endless alcohol. Don't miss out on the time of your life, at Igloofest, with your friends or family, because you have to 'watch the kids' or 'wake up for work' #lame. So make sure that before you hit the big 3-0, you attend Igloofest, on all three weeks, if possible! It's totally worth every layer of clothing.
