6 Cheap Travel Plans To Take Advantage Of This Canada Day

Canada Day is approaching super quickly. The summer has just been flying by, and you (like most of us) may not be ready for the festivities. Well, we think there is no better way to celebrate the birth of our nation, then to appreciate it in all it's glory. We've come up with some last minute travel plans that will take you around the country, so you can celebrate Canada Day somewhere new!
1. Montreal - Toronto
Only $499, and you get to post up at the Fairmont for the weekend. V. swanky. You also get to fly Porter which is always a great time.
2. Montreal - Vancouver
If you've got some cash to blow on a great Canada Day weekend, say no more. There are round trip flights to Vancouver from Montreal that you can get for under a grand. This is unheard of. So, if you were thinking about heading down to Van City for a few days, take this as a sign and do it!
3. Montreal - Halifax
Oh West Jet, how I love thee. West Jet has a crap ton of deals if you're planning to fly in and around Eastern Canada. Halifax is such a beautiful cities and, in my opinion, does not get nearly as much love as it deserves. There's a flight from Montreal to Halifax you can get for under $600! Don't let it pass by, my friends, take the deal.
4. Montreal - Sault Saint Marie
Okay, you would be departing after Canada Day, but you still get to celebrate Canada Day weekend in the beautiful Sault Saint Marie. Flights are less than $400 for a round trip if you leave on the 2nd!
5. Montreal - Ottawa
If you're not interested in taking a flight, then the train is always a great option. It's miles cheaper than flying, which is ideal for all you travellers on a budget. For a three day trip, you can travel from Montreal to Ottawa, on Via Rail, for under $100!
6. Montreal - Quebec City
Finally, if you want to stay in the province, we all know Quebec City is your best bet. Train tickets are cheap as all hell right now, so book em' fast to save some cash!
