If you're at all into sports, or awesome people who come from Montreal, then chances are you've heard about Francoise Abanda.
And if you haven't heard of her? Trust, you're going to want to know all about this extremely talented pro tennis player.
She went all the way to Wimbledon this year (where PK Subban paid her a surprise visit), and although she didn't technically win... I mean, come on. Francoise Abanda is kind of winning at life.
She's 20 years old, and apart from already making it all the way to Wimbledon, she's already accomplished so 👏 much.
She has won legit tons of junior and pro Canadian tennis tournaments (including the G1 tournament in Repentigny, and the Rogers Cup in Montreal), and has made it to huge pro tennis tournaments - including the French Open - around the world.
Honestly, sure, Francoise Abanda is talented AF... but it's clear that her determination is super, super key as well. In 2013, she battled a pretty intense shoulder injury; but that didn't stop her from making it to the U.S. Open that same year.
She's also got more than a few personal accomplishments under her belt as well, including getting recognized at 2014's Black History Month gala, and striking up a friendship with her personal idol, Serena Williams.
(Sidenote: she also met Celine, who as we all know is Queen of everything forever. Yasss).
Honestly, Francoise Abanda is probably going to become your new favourite Canadian/Quebecoise/Montreal athlete.
She's got so much talent and determination, you just know she's going to continue to achieve some seriously awesome things.
