You've probably recently noticed some annoying advertisements automatically playing when you scroll down your Facebook news feed. These are pretty much the worst kinds of advertisements because you literally have no choice than to either watch it or click it once to stop.

Step 3: Move your cursor over to the right and click "Off." The videos won't automatically play on your desktop anymore. This process works for Google Chrome and Firefox, but Safari users might be out of luck for now... and Internet Explorer users, do you still exist?

And if you're using Facebook on your mobile app, unfortunately there's no way to disable it from playing when you're in a Wifi zone, however you can still disable it from playing when you're not.

Step 1: Go to Settings and click on the Facebook option.

Step 2: Go to "Settings" underneath the Facebook icon.

Step 3: Turn on "Auto-Play on Wi-Fi only." The videos will only play when you are hooked into a Wi-Fi network.

Problem solved!
