Free World Cup Block Party To Be Held On Montreal's Saint-Laurent Street Today

Something like this only happens once every 4 years.

World Cup watchers will be treated to a special viewing of a second round game thanks to CBC and CIBC, as part of their Canada-wide Soccer Nation viewing events. Taking place in major cities all throughout the nation, Soccer Nation is coming to Montreal at the end of June, and football/soccer fans and non-fans will want to check it out.

Setting up in a parking lot at 3535 St. Laurent (map, where Mural Fest was) a huge screen will be setup for the game for fans to watch in the fresh summer air. Before the match begins, you can get in the soccer-mood by playing some FIFA 14 on Playstation, with a chance to win some prizes for playing.

Montreal's Soccer Nation outdoor viewing party will run from 11am to 6pm this Saturday, June 28th. The teams have yet to be determined, so hold off on picking a side to root or.
