Notice people have been smiling a lot more this week. That's because spring is quite possibly the most magical time in Montreal.
Invigorated by the long hours of sunlight and newfound heat, Montrealers are quick to shed their bulky layers and stroll along the streets, unable to wipe that goofy smiles off their face.
Spring is not only beautiful because the weather has FINALLY warmed up, but also because our city is gearing up for festival season. There are several tiers of festivals in Montreal. Of course, we got the big guys like F1, Murale, and Osehaga, but you can 't forget the local community festivals, that sometimes gather just as many people but back 10X more charm.
This month head to the charming and booming east-end neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve for Marché De Fleurs d'Hochelaga. From May 19th-21st at Place Simon Valois.
This is a kid-friendly event hosted by the borough and its fellow business, there will be a huge assortment of flowers for sale and other vendors, and there will be a very special butterfly show! There is a lot to look forward to, and the best part it's totally FREE.
