Photo cred - Böbyk Photography for Montreal Ukrainian Festival

Come the beginning of September, it will be time to celebrate all things Ukrainian in Montreal, thanks to the 2014 edition of the Montreal Ukrainian Festival. A three day festival full of food, performances, and beer, you won't need to be Ukrainian to enjoy this cultural extravaganza.

Running from September 5th to 7th, the 15th Montreal Ukrainian Festival will feature over 20 different musical and artistic performances, kiosks doling out Ukrainian cuisine and artwork, and a legit beer garden that opens exactly one hour after the festival begins. Ukranians know what's up.

The entirety of the festival will be held at Parc de l'Ukraine (map) in Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie. If pierogi are the only part of Ukrainian culture you know, then this is the time to get acquainted with the nation and its peoples. We still hope there are tons of great pierogi to eat though.
