From the same people who brought us Mile End favourites such as Maïs and Café Sardine, as well as the man behind Chez Victoire and Barbounya, comes a new restaurant concept we're sure is going to make a splash.

Thazard is set to have a classic french bistro vibe but offer a decidedly Japanese menu heavy on fish and charcuterie. Now if that's not already funky enough, Eater Montreal tells us that "Thazard will resuscitate classic, French-style gueridon service," or table-side cart service. You know, like those dim sum trolleys you find around town, but classier no doubt. Very cool.

Expect to see Thazard open by the end of the month, but until then you can check out their Facebook page for all the news, or follow them on Twitter and Instagram.
