Montreal's Olympic Stadium Park is going to transform into a haven for all extreme sports enthusiasts when Jackalope 2014 kicks off this Friday. A huge number of events, competitions, parties, food, and swag will a part of the Jackalope Festival, making it an event for anyone looking to do something exciting this weekend.
Extreme sports competitions/showcases will be the main events at Jackalope, with all the standards included (skateboarding, BMX, motocross) along with some you probably haven't seen before, like slackline, Parkour, and Wakeskating.
Here's afor an idea of the layout of competition sites. Spectators to all the extreme-sporting will also get to enjoy the mass amounts of kiosks set up in the Esplanade Financiere Sun Life, with over 20 businesses set up, ranging from gyms, to boutiques, to a beer stand.
Yeah, thought that last one would pique your interest. To pair with your beer, 6 different food trucks will also be on-site, offering sweet and savory treats throughout the festival. No festival is complete without a few parties, and Jackalope is no different.
Friday and Saturday will end off with after-parties held at TRH Bar, which is maybe the least surprising venue but a good one nonetheless. That'll be your chance to rub elbows with your favourite athlete, and maybe get to watch them turn a few tricks on TRH Bar's indoor skate ramps.
