Great news! Montreal "clock tower beach" in the Old Port is officially opening this weekend on May 26th!
For those of you who are new to the city, or not sure what this spot is exactly, here's the low-down. Clocktower beach is a man-made beach with stunning views located just on the edge of the water in the Old Port.
You can't actually swim there. But there are parasols, chairs, misting towers, and of course - concession stands with snacks and alcohol for you to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
It's a great spot to escape to and take in the sun for awhile. The best part, it costs only a toonie to get in. That's right, only 2$ cover. What a deal.
This spot is also perfect because it's the best place to watch the fireworks that happen at Laronde all summer long, and this beach faces in the perfect direction. The entrance fee for fireworks night is only $5.
Here are all the details you need to know:
These are the nights you can expect to see fireworks this summer starting in July:
- July 7, July 11, July 14, July 18, July 21, July 28
- August 1st and August 8
