Three of Montreal's favourite hedonistic pleasures (shopping, eating, and drinking) are combining this Saturday into one awesome outdoor event. Saturday, June 21st, will be Montreal's inaugural Night Market, an afternoon to evening block party featuring food trucks, art, music, and plenty of drank.
A combo event between Alexandraplatz Bar and the Quebec Food Truck Association, the Night Market will have a lot to offer in terms of eating and drinking. Four food trucks will be on site (Pheonix 1, Traiteur Guru, Gaufrabec, and Ô Soeurs volantes) for the entirety of the event, so you got a lot of eating options.
To go along with your eats, Alexandraplatz will be serving out beer and cocktails. Beats will also be provided, with four DJs spinning all day and well into the night.
Making the "market" theme legit will be a slew of local artists and artisans at the event who will be selling their wares. Purchase-able items will range from records and photography/art prints, to vintage clothes and handcrafted furniture, so expect tons of variety.
Happening this Saturday from 1pm-11pm at the corner of de l’Esplanade and Saint-Zotique (map) in in Mile-Ex (a combo of Mile End and Parc Ex?) the first-ever Night Market looks to be a great way to spend your Saturday. If you happen to miss the event, no stress, as organizers hope to make it a monthly thing throughout the summer.
Will you be there?
