Eating locally can be a bit hard to do, especially if you live a trek away from Jean-Talon or Atwater Market. Things are about to get a bit easier for Plateau residents who want to eat fresh and local produce, thanks to the opening of the Marché Fermier farmer's market in the heart of the borough.
Marché Fermier is all about giving the community access to fresh foods that are grown locally, sold in season, and purchased directly from the growers. No middlemen up in here.
The Marché Fermier season runs from June 15th to November 15th, in a few different spots, but all within the same local area.
- June 15th to July 13th on Sundays from 12-4pm @ St St-Enfant-Jésus church’s parking lot (map)
- July 17th to Oct. 30th on Thursdays from 2-7pm @ Park Lahaie (map)
- July 20th to Nov. 2nd on Sundays from 12-4pm @ Park Lahaie
