Dark, white, milk, salted, or with anything thrown in, no matter the variety, chocolate is always amazing. Capable of making you happy (actually) and decadently delicious, chocolate has reigned supreme as the world's favourite treat since the dawn of humanity, and has only gotten better. Montrealers know chocolate is the best, and so the city will be hosting its very own chocolate festival this weekend.
Officially known as "Je t’aime en chocolat," Montreal's all-things-chocolate festival will be satisfying your sweet tooth at Marché Bonsecours in Old Montreal from Friday to Sunday. Having an entire three day event devoted to the most delicious of desserts is hard to top, but the true icing on the chocolate cake is the fact that the event is entirely free.
During Je t’aime en chocolat you can expect to find literally every type of chocolate imaginable, including macaroons, coffee, meringues, and creative creations from master chocolatiers. Hopefully there will be glasses of milk on-site to help wash all the chocolate down.
Not only featuring cocoa-derived edibles, Je t’aime en chocolat will also be hosting a bunch of cool events and activities. You will be able to witness how the most intense chocolate creations are crafted during the "Chocolate Academy" demonstrations, and even see a huge "chocolate fashion show" which will feature clothes good enough to eat.
Oh, and for some reason, Batman and Spiderman may be there too. Even superheroes love chocolate, apparently.
