Autumn is just around the corner. I can really feel it this morning, the air is perfectly crisp and light. After all this relentless heat, that cool air on the skin feels absolutely amazing! I can't wait to be swaddled up in a cozy sweater.

I hope you're writing up your fall bucket list at the moment; it's the perfect time to start planning ahead. Fall is prime time to enjoy spontaneous day trips because come deep winter – I don't know about you, but for me, nothing really happens "spontaneously" when it's -30 and your car is buried in 10 feet of snow.

One spot that MUST add to your bucket list in the Wild Center's "wild walk" treetop trail. It's in upstate New York in the Adirondack region, an area known for its beautiful mountain and dense forests.

Wild Walk was created by Wild Center, a not-for-profit organization that offers visitors the chance to explore the Adirondacks from a whole new perspective. The trail is elevated 30 feet above ground level and offers the most spectacular views of the Adirondack mountains.

The trail itself also includes interconnecting boardwalks, suspensions bridges, cargo nets and viewing platforms around every turn. Not only does this treetop trail offer superb views, but it also gives visitors the opportunity to see wild animals in all their glory.

The Wild Center and Wild Walk are open daily from 10am until 6pm and it is located in Tupper Lake, New York. It's a great activity for both adults and kids, and also a wonderful opportunity to explore this beautiful region of New York state.
