The "Bootcamp" fitness experience is exactly what it sounds like - tough. But as you have probably heard before, when it comes to fitness the ubiquitous mantra always applies. No pain, no gain.
In order see results, you have to put in a little elbow grease. This can always be a bit intimidating for those who are new to working out or have never trained at high intensity.
That's why it's helpful to have some form of guidance when starting out, training wheels so to speak. Working out in a group setting can be a great way to make the task of getting fit a little less daunting. Because everyone participating is on the same level playing field.
The session will begin with an optional 1.2K warm up jog to Beaver Lake, where the group will then perform a fun 45-minute bodyweight HITT circuit.
That said, there will be 2 meeting points for the boot camp.
The first is at Peel and Avenue des Pins at 11am sharp. This is where the group will be running 1.2k as a warm up to Beaver Lake.
The second meeting point is at Beaver Lake at 11:30am for the HIIT circuit part of the boot camp. The exact location at Beaver Lake will be posted as a screenshot on the Facebook event soon.
The event creators want to remind you to make sure to bring your water bottle, running shoes, snacks for pre and after, and a towel. If you’re bringing a backpack, but make sure it’s light especially if you plan on going for the warm-up run.
