Tim Hortons, Canada's iconic coffee chain, has (finally) entered the age of the app with their newly released TimmyMe smartphone app. Much like Starbuck's existing app, TimmyMe will allow you to pay for any of your Tim Hortons swag with a tap or scan of your phone. No more fishing for change in the morning so you can have your medium regular coffee.

Available now on iPhone, Android, and Blackberry (for whoever still has those) TimmyMe works like a digital Tim Card. You'll have to register your personal Tim Card on the app (or online) first, load it up with cash, then get on getting caffeinated. The app works with all TH products, so feel free to get a muffin or sandwich too.

Other features included on TimmyMe are:

  • a Tim Hortons resto locator
  • a Tim Card reload-er, so you can keep on spending :)
  • TimmyRun (a coffee-run organizer)
  • Nutritional Info

Only participating locations will allow you to pay with the app, so don't expect to just tap'n pay at the Tim in the middle of rural Quebec, at least for a while. Tim Hortons has a handy map of restos with scan and tap-to-pay services, and after a quick search, 26 locations in Montreal were listed as fully TimmyMe-friendly.

Download TimmyMe, whatever your phone-style, right here. Pair this with the Adbeus indy-cafe app and you'll always have some java to get jazzed on.

Will you be downloading TimmyMe?
